Andy’s Road Race Registration Discounted through August 17

Discounted registration for Andy’s Road Race, Bike Ride and Harvey Gleich Memorial Walk will be available through August 17. The annual event will be held Saturday, September 2, at Memorial Park in Huron.

The road race, named after former Huron track coach Andy Kleinsasser, is divided into various age groups running the 5K and 10K races. There is also a 5K fun walk and 5 and 23-mile bike rides for participants of any age and fitness level.  A fun run for children, with no registration fee required, will be held following the timed events. 

All Andy’s participants will receive a free one-day gate pass to the South Dakota State Fair. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in each division of the 5K and 10K races.

The 5K/10K race will be chip-timed by 605 Running Company. Registration received through August 17 is $40. Registration August 18 through race day is $50. Walker registration is $30. All registration fees include refreshments and a performance tank or long-sleeve shirt. A special high school cross country rate is offered through race day and is only $5, not to include an event shirt.
