HRMC Foundation Healthcare Scholarships Now Open to Seniors
High school and college students interested in healthcare careers are invited to apply for up to $10,000 in healthcare scholarships. But hurry, the deadline is April 7.
Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation is pleased to announce $10,000 in scholarship funds to promote careers in healthcare in the Huron area, according to Paul Rann, HRMC Foundation executive director.
“We are excited to announce that we will again be offering scholarships to support area students furthering their education,” said Rann. “New this year, the program will include scholarships for graduating high school seniors with the intention of pursuing a healthcare-related major.
“Our goal is to encourage individuals to further their education while pursuing a career in a healthcare field,” explained Rann. “We welcome students of all ages to apply and learn more about the lifelong fulfillment of a future in health care.”
Since its inception 12 years ago, the scholarship program has expanded over the years with the support of generous HRMC Foundation donors and it is expanding again this year.
Up to $10,000 in scholarship funds are available in two categories: High School Seniors and College Students. Actual scholarship award amounts will be determined by the scholarship committee. Scholarship applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017. Recipients will be notified in May.
“The HRMC Foundation board felt it was important to expand the scholarship program so that more students, who are interested in various healthcare careers, could benefit,” said Rann. “Ensuring that the Huron area continues to have high-quality, dedicated healthcare staff is a top priority for the supporters of the HRMC Foundation and we are dedicated to supporting that goal.”
