Hitchcock-Tulare Volleyball Team Raises Nearly $2,100 for Breast Cancer Awareness

Fans and players joined in a "Dig Pink" night October 19.

In honor of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Hitchcock-Tulare volleyball team hosted a Dig Pink Night during their match up against Miller on October 19. A total of $2,085.75 was raised through t-shirt sales, a silent auction and Chinese auction and cookie sales. Members of the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) assisted with this year's fundraiser. The funds were donated to the Huron Regional Medical Center Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Fund to help raise awareness and early detection activities in the region.
