Huron Tiger Volleyball Raises $3,100 for Breast Cancer Awareness
The Tiger volleyball team dramatically increased the funds they raised selling awareness t-shirts by netting $3,100 compared to the $1,154 raised in 2014.
Huron Tiger Volleyball players raised $3,100 by selling “Fight Pink” t-shirts for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness match against Yankton on October 20. The amount is more than double than the amount raised last year. The Tigers partnered, again this year, with Huron Regional Medical Center in planning the event which promoted breast cancer awareness and early detection. Funds raised were placed in a special fund in the HRMC Foundation to help educate area women and promote the importance of early detection activities to reduce the risk of advanced breast cancer.
