HRMC Foundation Fund for the Future Scholarships Offer College Payment and Employment Opportunities

Are you or someone you know thinking of a future in health care? Now is the time to pursue that dream with the help of generous scholarships in high-need medical careers.

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation announces the creation of a new fund within the HRMC Foundation. The HRMC Foundation board of directors created the Fund for the Future to tackle the highest priority strategic needs of HRMC and rural healthcare.

The Fund for the Future is a semi-restricted fund that will change purpose as the needs of HRMC and rural healthcare change. “The Fund for the Future will allow donors’ peace of mind knowing what the Foundation will fund with their donations while allowing those priorities the flexibility to change as fast as healthcare is today,” said Paul Rann, HRMC Foundation executive director.

The first strategic priority of the Fund for the Future is creating a proactive workforce development strategy.  “We are very excited to announce that we will be offering significant financial scholarships to individuals who are pursuing a career in a high-need health care field and are willing to commit to returning to the Huron area and working for HRMC,” said Rann. “These scholarships will be mutually beneficial. They will benefit students by offsetting the high costs of higher education while ensuring that HRMC continues to have highly-trained professionals to care for our friends and neighbors.”

Applicants must be in a high-need healthcare degree or certification program. Applicants of all ages are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be prepared to agree to work at HRMC or in Beadle County for a determined amount of time.
