HRMC Foundation Humanitarian Golf Tournament Set for September 18

HURON, SD – The 22nd Annual Humanitarian Golf Tournament, presented by the Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation, will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Broadland Creek National Golf Course and provides a perfect way to cap off the golfing season.

This 9-hole scramble is for golfers of all skill levels with an emphasis on having fun. The day begins with registration at 1:00 p.m., shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. There are many opportunities to win fantastic prizes between games and pin prizes donated by our local business community. The day culminates with a come-and-go meal at the Huron Country Club at 6:30 p.m. and an awards ceremony.

The cost for a 4-person team is $350, which includes golf cart, green fees and dinner. In the event of rain, the tournament will be moved to Sunday, September 19.

This event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the HRMC Foundation. It allows us to continue our mission of ensuring quality health care in our community for generations to come.

The HRMC Foundation has identified three pillars that contribute to the health and well-being of our community: People, Wellness and Technology. Through the Healthy Huron scholarship program, our generous donors maintain the pipeline of qualified medical professionals our area needs. Our support of the Southeast Technical College LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and LPN to RN (Registered Nurse) programs at Huron Community Campus are helping our local health care system address the nursing shortage and keeping more of our young people in our community.

Technology upgrades such as the new 3D Mammography system and MRI mean patients can receive more of the care they need right here at home. Education and free health screens help residents make better choices and catch diseases in their early stages.
