Nearly 300 guests attended the 16th annual “A Night with Papa Luigi,” raising more than $45,000 for the Huron Regional Medical Center Foundation, according to Paul Rann, executive director of the HRMC Foundation.

Papa Luigi hosted a night in “The Roaring 20s” on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Huron Event Center. Guests and local “celebrity” hosts dressed in a wide variety of costumes while raising money for the HRMC Foundation Dr. Paul and Carol Hohm Scholarship Endowment.

“Once again, the community demonstrated its unyielding support for high-quality, local health care," explained Rann. “Thank you to everyone who attended the Papa Luigi event, the ‘celebrity’ hosts, the planning committee members and of course all of the sponsors – without their support, this event would not have been as successful as it was.”

Funds raised through sponsorships, dinner tickets, tips and other donations will be used to help provide scholarships from the Dr. Paul and Carol Hohm Scholarship Endowment to students pursuing degrees in a medical field.

“Mark your calendar for next year’s event, which is scheduled for March 5, 2016,” said Rann. “Papa Luigi will be going to the Circus,’ and we hope you can make the trip!”

The purpose of the HRMC Foundation is to raise gift income each year, which is used to support and endow the maintenance and enhancement of healthcare services on behalf of HRMC. Papa Luigi is one of two major fundraising events that benefit the Foundation–and ultimately health care in the area.
